Châteauneuf du Pape Appellation

Château Gigognan

The Château Gigognan is a an estate of 178 acres, including 104 acres in Sorgues and 74 acres in Châteauneuf du Pape, in the southern part of this designation.
The vineyards grow on a soil of rolled pebbles. They play a significant role in grape maturity, storing daytime heat and restoring radiant heat at night. Micro-climate, exceptional sun exposure and the Mistral wind contribute to the quality of the grapes.
Anxious to preserve this unique environment, the estate operates in accordance with the rules of organic farming and was granted the "Ecocert" certification in 2010.
Both red and white Châteauneuf du Pape wines are famous for their elegance, generosity and typical characteristics.
